Welcome to StayJournal. These Terms of Service govern your use of the StayJournal app and website, which are operated by WolvoCo LLC ("WolvoCo," "we," "us," or "our"). By using StayJournal, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use StayJournal.

1. StayJournal's Role

StayJournal is a personal travel-planning and journal app. It helps you organize travel information, explore hotel ideas, and, if you choose, prepare an inquiry to a travel advisor.

StayJournal does not process travel payments, hold customer funds, operate a live booking engine, or make reservations within the app.

When you choose to contact an advisor, StayJournal opens a pre-filled email draft. You control whether to edit, send, or discard it. The email you send is the request the advisor will use for follow-up.

2. Travel-Advisor Inquiries

If you send a booking inquiry through StayJournal, it may be shared with an independent travel advisor affiliated with Fora Travel, Inc. for follow-up. The advisor, not StayJournal, handles the travel-advisory conversation and any resulting booking process.

The advisor may earn a commission from travel suppliers if you complete a booking. Any separate planning or service fee will be disclosed before you agree to it.

Before payment or booking, the advisor will provide the applicable supplier, cancellation, payment, and other travel terms. Those terms will govern the resulting booking.

Do not send payment-card, passport, government-ID, medical, or other highly sensitive information through the StayJournal booking email.

WolvoCo and StayJournal are not owned by, and are not a corporate subsidiary of, any hotel, airline, or other travel supplier shown in the app.

3. Rates, Amenities, and Availability

StayJournal may show informational descriptions of hotel rates, potential perks, upgrades, breakfasts, credits, or other benefits.

Rates, amenities, upgrades, credits, and availability are not guaranteed. They depend on the property, booking program, room category, dates, supplier policies, and availability at the time of booking and check-in.

A property or supplier may change, limit, or withdraw a rate, amenity, or benefit at any time, including because of occupancy or operational conditions.

4. Planning Information and AI

StayJournal may use AI-assisted tools and third-party data for hotel search, personalized recommendations, maps, weather, routing, currency, holidays, safety notes, transportation, tipping, and other planning information.

This information is provided for general planning purposes only. It may be inaccurate, incomplete, unavailable, delayed, or out of date.

Safety notes are not live alerts, official travel advisories, emergency guidance, legal advice, medical advice, or a guarantee that a destination, hotel, route, or activity is safe. Check current official and local sources before travel and contact local emergency services in an emergency.

Verify information that matters to your trip, including hotel details, rates, availability, amenities, entry requirements, weather, safety conditions, cancellation terms, and supplier policies, before acting on it.

5. Third-Party Services

StayJournal relies on third-party services and data sources for features such as hotel search and photos, maps, routing, weather, exchange rates, public holidays, city imagery, and AI-assisted recommendations.

Third-party content and services are subject to their own terms, privacy policies, and required attributions. We do not control and are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, content, or practices.

External directions, maps, booking engines, and related links may take you outside StayJournal. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies.

We may change, suspend, or remove a third-party-backed feature if its provider changes its service, data, pricing, terms, or availability.

6. Your Journal, Backups, and Acceptable Use

You retain ownership of content you add to your journal. StayJournal does not provide a public account dashboard or host your journal entries for other users to view.

You are responsible for information you save, export, share, or include in an inquiry. Do not add information you are not permitted to share or highly sensitive information that does not belong in a travel journal.

You are responsible for securing your device, exported files, and device or cloud backups. We do not guarantee that a backup, export, device, or third-party storage service will be available, complete, or recoverable.

You may not misuse StayJournal, interfere with its services, bypass security or rate limits, scrape content, use it unlawfully, or infringe another person's rights.

7. Eligibility

You may use StayJournal only if you can form a binding agreement under applicable law. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use StayJournal only with a parent or legal guardian's permission and supervision. StayJournal is not directed to children under 13.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StayJournal and its information are provided "as is" and "as available." WolvoCo, its officers, directors, employees, and agents are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from:

- Your use of or inability to use StayJournal.

- The performance, service quality, room conditions, safety standards, or operational failures of a hotel, resort, transportation provider, or other third party.

- Cancellations, overbookings, billing discrepancies, reservation disputes, or supplier-policy changes.

- Technical disruptions, communication failures, or errors in the user-initiated email process.

- Inaccurate, incomplete, unavailable, delayed, or outdated AI-generated, travel-planning, map, weather, currency, safety, transportation, holiday, tipping, hotel, or third-party information.

- Events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, government restrictions, strikes, travel warnings, pandemics, telecommunications failures, or other force-majeure events.

9. Intellectual Property

StayJournal's original content, features, layout, and functionality belong to WolvoCo or its licensors. You may not use our trademarks or trade dress without prior written consent.

10. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any legal action relating to these Terms must be brought in state or federal court located in San Francisco, California, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will update the date above and provide notice when required by law. Continuing to use StayJournal after updated Terms take effect means you accept them.
